Where the Frost Skeleton Scout stalks in close, the Frost Skeleton Ranger keeps its distance and makes you pay for it. Armed and aggressive, this ranged undead variant patrols Borea's frozen wastes and attacks any living target it spots — there is no waiting it out. Kills yield guaranteed Bone Fragments, Linen Scraps, and Essence of Ice, with a one-in-four shot at fifteen Crude Arrows. Experienced players will also watch for the two percent chance of an Ancient Steel Hand Crossbow, a weapon drop that makes hunting these enemies genuinely rewarding. Like all Borea undead, it is preserved as a World Memory.
